But with that death, a powerful truth followed it –
“It is finished”
What are you going to decide is finally finished? Is it not fully living to your potential Christ has called you to, living in a sin that is weighing you down faster than you can stand up, or is it not believing that God can resurrect that very thing that you think you can’t bear?
When Jesus said “it is finished,” our sins became what He took on.
The beauty in why I chose #calledtothecrown for my blog wasn’t something I decided over-night, but it was daily realization that Jesus pursues us, making us be called back to Him.
JESUS PURSUES MY HEART.
HE PURSUES YOUR HEART ALSO.
He died. Our good, good Father took on death to save brokenness in people who could never repay what was did on wooden beams. Brokenness is accepted in the eyes of Jesus, and broken people are beautiful. Don’t ever think your mess can’t hold goodness.
Isiah 53:5 – “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by HIS wounds we are healed.”
So when you’re struggling with feeling enough or worthy with all the sin you carry, Jesus is saying to you, “I want you, I love you, I want to have your heart, I can heal you.”
JESUS, the one who died for us, wants US.
Whatever way our fleshly-wired minds want to comprehend what Easter is all about, we are all #calledtothecrown.
We’re called to give back to Christ ; our hearts, our bodies, our minds, our dreams, our sins, our relationships. Our entire being is His.
Have you ever wrestled with “how can I impact the kingdom?”
Jesus sees us in our moments of weakness, sin, and when we don’t deserve His grace ; He smiles and thinks “they have no idea what they are about to do for my kingdom.”
Matthew 28:6 – “ He is not here for He HAS risen just as He said”
Being called to something bigger and greater than what sinners could ever grasp, there’s beauty in becoming more like Christ. We are called to the crown.
What we celebrate is more than a holiday but rather a reminder that what Christ did is why we are able to be His.
2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
You were died for.
Raise your hands to get a touch of the goodness He can offer you. The flame burning for Christ in you can never be put out when you decide daily to burn for Him!
Walk daily in being called back to Him.
